A campfire is a crafted construction used to cook simple foods, and can be placed nearly anywhere. It's made from 5 logs and 10 billets, and is the lowest-temperature cooking station — fine for roasting meat and fish, but not for anything that needs more heat.
Cooking at the campfire
Place items and fuel into the campfire and it cooks while you attend to other things — but you'll need to return every so often to keep the heat up by clicking the bellows button. XP is generated each time an item finishes cooking.
Not all foods can be made at a campfire. For anything it can't handle, use a Herbalist's Workshop — found inside inns, and used for Cooking & Herbalism. The higher the inn (and so the workshop) quality, the better your crafting results.
Foods you can cook
The campfire handles simple roasts. The in-station list scrolls, but it includes:
- Roasted Venison
- Roasted Exquisite Venison
- Roasted Beef
- Roasted Pork
- Roasted Poultry Meat
- Roasted Zander
- Roasted Carp
- Roasted Herring
- Roasted Salmon
- Roasted Codfish
- Fried Egg
Buffs & hazards
- Campfires give a −50% hunger rate buff and regenerate stamina — so gather round.
- Walking through a campfire deals a small amount of burning damage.
Removing a campfire
A campfire can't be picked up once placed. Press J to open your Constructions menu and destroy your campfire from anywhere.
